Required Information
Select the Appropriate Application Form:
- Form 49A is for Indian citizens and entities.
- Form 49AA is for foreign citizens.
Fill Out the Application Form:
- Provide your personal details such as name, date of birth, address, contact number, etc.
- You will need to upload proof of identity, proof of address, and a passport-size photo.
- Ensure all the information provided is accurate to avoid delays.
Submit the Application:
- After filling in the details, submit the form and you’ll be prompted to pay the required fees (this can be done via debit/credit card, net banking, etc.).
Verify and Complete the Application:
- Once payment is completed, you will receive an acknowledgment receipt with a 15-digit number.
- If you are submitting documents physically, print the acknowledgment receipt, attach the required documents, and send them to the respective address.
- Alternatively, you may be required to e-sign your application or upload scanned copies of your documents.
Wait for PAN to be Processed:
- Your PAN card will be processed, and typically, it takes 15-20 business days for delivery.
- You can track the status of your application online.
Documents Required for PAN Card Application:
- Proof of Identity: Passport, voter ID, Aadhaar card, or driving license.
- Proof of Address: Aadhaar card, passport, utility bills, or bank statements.
- Proof of Date of Birth: Birth certificate, passport, or school leaving certificate.
Fees for PAN Card Application:
- For Indian Applicants: ₹93 (excluding GST).
- For Foreign Applicants: ₹864 (excluding GST).
Other Methods:
- You can also apply for a PAN card through a physical form by visiting the nearest PAN service center.
- Once you’ve completed the application process, you will receive the PAN card by post at your registered address.
